If Boris Karloff were choosing an iPhone 5 case, he’d probably choose the Mummy from Musubo because there’s no Frankenstein version. It wraps around — as you might expect from the name– the smartphone in a soft touch TPU casing that protects it from dirt, dust, the elements and, to some degree, dings and drops.
Despite its enveloping design, you still have access to all ports and buttons on the Apple smartphone. The Mummy is attractive enough with its gloss finish — though it’s a bit too glossy for my tastes. The case is pocket and wallet friendly — it slips easily into and out of the former and won’t drain the latter. Plus, it’s equipped with a handy, foldable stand that pops out for watching videos.
There’s a lot to like about the Mummy. It fits great over the iPhone 5, is easy to install and offers decent protection. On the downside, there’s nothing that makes it truly stand apart from dozens of other smartphone cases.
