I wonder how much longer the Find My Friends app will be using Google mapping data and imagery rather than Apple’s own (much maligned) Maps app.
I suspect Apple is getting enough Maps feedback that it’s getting up to speed (we can only hope). There’s still plenty of work to be done. Where my friend, J. Scott Alexander lives, Maps show directions to a hospital that’s a good mile or so away from the actual location.
While we are waiting, I’m looking forward to OS X versions of Maps, Find My Friends, and Voice Mail access — or perhaps integration into the Messages app.
